Audax Fleche Opperman 24 Hour Team Timetrial (and a little extra from the 'mutes)
Heat & headwind claimed a few on the other team, and we were pretty beaten up by it until Mannum (dinner!)
From there, Tash and I gave Palmer Hill a smash, powered by Chicken Schnitzels; much to the disappointment of everyone else (Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh, climbing pace).
Really started to feel it by Gawler, had trouble keeping it over 23km/h.
Probably couldn't have survived without James & Div hauling us through the Badlands between Gawler and Grand Junction Road.

Notable tidbits:
- Goats on eagle on the hill. I'm now going to think of it as Goats on the Hill.
- 196km, morale lowpoint. Everyone is pretty much "Fuck this heat".
- Passenger in car is so drunk, she takes three attempts to tell us "Real Men Ride Women". 3/10 rating on the effective hecklemeter.
- Div showed us an interesting way to get a green light, by practically laying bicycle onto the car sensor. Worked a treat!
Two flats for me personally, and the use of gas canisters was a bad idea (gets you going quickly, but makes for deflating tires over a long duration ride).
So... that was difficult, but survivable - particularly with a nap inbetween. Makes me wonder what it looks like with an extra 7500vm in there and no bikebags/a fixed basecamp.
